And the superstar volunteer of the week goes to...

MARA CURLEY!!! This past Sunday Mara was on the schedule to be a Foyer Greeter for GRID 29:11. Saturday night was her senior prom. Mara was out late with her friends having fun and she still got up early to serve at church. As is tradition at The Rock Church she wore her prom dress to church. In order to fit the role of Foyer Greeter she rocked her t-shirt over her dress (pictured above). Mara serves faithfully as a Foyer Greeter and as part of the worship team. She also comes down to the church during her week to help with special projects as needed.

Thank you Mara for your dedication to the church. You are an incredible volunteer and it's because of people like yourself we have such an incredible church!

Somebody comment a shout out to Mara for being the superstar volunteer of the week!

P.S. sorry there was no Superstar volunteer post last week, my phone was MIA and I was unable to snap a picture. I have someone for it and will get a pic and they will be called the super, superstar volunteer of the week.

ADAM KNIGHT!!! Adam is at the GRID every week ready to do whatever is needed. He's also incredibly multi talented. From helping out in the foyer gathering students, to discipleship outside of church, to preaching incredible offering messages and giving us the 411 on what's going on every week Adam is the man. He is an incredibly loyal and hardworking volunteer. He's also my best friend, so that goes huge in his favor. Thank you Adam for all your hard work. You are the man.

Somebody give him a shout on my blog huh?

Heidi Levesque!!! She's only been volunteering in GRID 29:11 for 3 weeks now (really only two because she was in Arizona for 1 week) and already she is kicking booty. I saw her walking up to students she'd never met, that were sitting alone and she helped them feel welcome. She also was not afraid to sit right in the middle of a group of young ladies and be "the energy." After three weeks she's doing what a seasoned volunteer veteran would do and beyond. Way to jump in with both feet Heidi, to not be afraid and connect with students. You are awesome and you are the Superstar Volunteer of the week. Thank you!!!

NAOMI LACOSS!!! This last Sunday Naomi took a break from her normal role of singing on stage and jumped in to help the foyer team. Without any prior experience she jumped in like a champ and connected with students like it was nobody's business. Not only that but she also left five minutes early to greet at the door of the GRID as students walked in, helping everybody feel welcome and get excited about the service. NOT ONLY THAT BUT!!! She also got one of our students signed up and involved in being a youth greeter. She tackled every situation that came her way like a champ and did an incredible job. Thank you Naomi for kicking serious butt on Sunday and being such an incredible volunteer in TVM. NOT ONLY THAT BUT, she also came up with a whole new welcome idea (her first was the musical chair thing and it rocked) that is going to be legit! Keep on rockin' Nome!

QUINN RICHTER!!! (pictured above) This last Sunday Quinn ran the lights and video at the same time and did it so well that you would have thought it was two people. After service Quinn jumped into the cafe (he wasn't scheduled to do it) and helped out making tons of smoothies because help was needed. Quinn was one of the first people there and one of the last to leave. PROPS TO YOU QUINN!!! Every time the doors are open at the church and volunteers are needed Quinn is there. Not only that, but Quinn is an incredible man of God with a heart to reach his generation, maybe that's why he volunteers so much hmm... He has incredible standards and will be instrumental in bringing change to his generation! You're the man Quinn thank you and keep it up!!!
